1. Two Kinds of Purchases, Two Policies
Money moves through Learnoscale in two distinct ways, and refunds work differently for each:
- Learner purchases on institute portals — courses, test series, packages and community subscriptions bought on a website or app run by a coaching institute using Learnoscale technology. These payments settle directly with the institute through its own payment gateway. Refunds are governed by that institute's refund policy, published on its own website.
- Institute platform subscriptions — fees institutes pay Learnoscale to use the platform. These are covered by Section 3 below.
Bought a course on an institute's site? Your refund request goes to that institute, through their website or app. The institute controls its pricing, refund window and approvals — Learnoscale provides the tooling that processes eligible refunds back to your original payment method.
2. Learner Purchases on Institute Portals
2.1 How institute refunds work on the platform
- Each institute configures its own refund window and policy (for example, a limited number of days after purchase, or refusal once a certain number of tests have been attempted).
- Approved refunds are processed to the original payment method via the institute's payment gateway. Bank processing typically takes 5–10 working days after approval.
- Wallet credits, promotional discounts and coupon value are generally not refundable as cash unless the institute's policy says otherwise.
2.2 Payment deducted but course not activated
If money was deducted but your purchase did not activate, one of two things has happened:
- The gateway did not confirm the payment. The amount is normally auto-reversed by the gateway or your bank within 5–7 working days — no action needed.
- The payment was confirmed but access failed. Contact the institute with your transaction ID; they can grant access manually or refund the payment.
2.3 Duplicate payments
If you were charged more than once for the same order, the duplicate charge is refundable on request to the institute with both transaction references.
3. Institute Platform Subscriptions
- Subscription fees already invoiced for an active billing period are generally non-refundable, except where agreed in the institute's subscription contract or required by law.
- Institutes may cancel ahead of renewal to stop the next billing cycle; access continues until the end of the paid period.
- If Learnoscale permanently discontinues a materially subscribed capability during a paid period, the affected institute may request a pro-rata credit or refund for the unused period.
- Setup, custom-development and app-publication services already delivered are non-refundable.
4. How to Raise a Refund Request
- Learners: use the support or contact option on the institute's own website or app, with your registered email/mobile and transaction ID.
- Institutes: raise subscription-billing questions through your account manager or the support@learnoscale.com.
