1. Who We Are and What This Policy Covers
Learnoscale ("Learnoscale", "we", "us") is a white-label education-technology platform, founded in April 2025, that enables coaching institutes, educators and organisations ("Institutes") to run their own branded online exam and learning portals.
This policy covers three situations, and your rights differ slightly in each:
- Visitors to learnoscale.com — our own marketing website. Here Learnoscale decides how your data is used.
- Institute administrators and staff — people who sign up to run a portal on Learnoscale. Here too, Learnoscale decides how your account data is used.
- Learners on Institute portals — students using a website or app powered by Learnoscale. Here the Institute controls your data and decides why it is collected; Learnoscale processes it on the Institute's behalf and under its instructions. For questions about your data on an Institute's portal, contact that Institute first.
2. Data We Collect
2.1 Data you provide
- Account data: name, email address, mobile number, password (stored in hashed form), and any custom profile fields an Institute configures.
- Enquiry data: details you submit through contact or demo-request forms.
- Content data: questions, courses, media and other material Institutes upload to the platform.
- Payment data: payments are processed by payment gateways (for example, Razorpay). We receive transaction confirmations and order details, but full card or banking credentials are handled by the gateway, not stored by Learnoscale.
2.2 Data collected automatically
- Usage data: pages visited, features used, test attempts, learning progress, session times.
- Device data: device type, operating system, browser, IP address and approximate location derived from it.
- Cookies and similar technologies: used for sign-in sessions, preferences, analytics and — where enabled by an Institute — marketing attribution. A cookie banner is shown where required and your consent choice is remembered.
2.3 Exam integrity and proctoring data
When an Institute enables proctoring for a test, the platform may — depending on the Institute's configuration — capture camera images or video, random selfies, ID card images, microphone signals for noise detection, screen and tab-switch events, and device identifiers. This data exists solely to protect exam integrity, is visible to the conducting Institute, and is processed only under the Institute's instructions. You will always be able to see that a test is proctored before you begin it.
3. How We Use Data
- To provide, operate and secure the platform — accounts, courses, exams, results, live classes and communities.
- To process orders and payments through the Institute's connected payment gateway.
- To score tests, generate analytics and show learners their own performance.
- To protect exam integrity through proctoring features an Institute has enabled.
- To respond to enquiries and provide support.
- To send service messages (results, schedules, account alerts) and — only with the applicable consent — marketing communications, which always include an unsubscribe option.
- To improve the platform using aggregated, de-identified usage statistics.
What we do not do: we do not sell personal data, and we do not use one Institute's student data to benefit another Institute. Tenant data is isolated per Institute.
4. AI Features and Your Data
Some platform features use artificial intelligence — for example question generation from uploaded documents, AI doubt-solving, AI interviews and translation. Content submitted to these features may be processed by third-party AI providers configured for the Institute's workspace, or by the Institute's own AI provider keys. AI-generated drafts are reviewed before publication, and AI interview evaluations record an unscored status rather than fabricating a result if evaluation is unavailable.
5. Sharing and Processors
We share data only with service providers needed to run the platform ("processors"), including cloud hosting and storage, payment gateways, messaging providers (email, SMS, WhatsApp, Telegram, push), video infrastructure for live classes, analytics infrastructure, and AI providers as described above. Each processor is bound by contractual data-protection obligations. We may also disclose data where the law requires it.
6. Data Retention
- Account data is kept while the account is active.
- You may request account deletion; deletion requests include a short cancellation window after which removal proceeds.
- Exam attempt and result records are retained as configured by the conducting Institute, which may have its own record-keeping obligations.
- Transaction records are retained as required by tax and accounting law.
- Event analytics are retained for a limited period and then deleted or anonymised.
7. Google user data
- At the request of a signed-in administrator, LearnOscale connects to Google accounts that administrator already owns: Google Ads, Google Analytics 4, Search Console, Tag Manager and Merchant Center. Connecting is always started by the administrator and can be undone at any time from Ads Manager → Settings → Connections, which deletes the stored token immediately.
- What we access and why: Google Ads — campaigns, keywords, spend and performance, to report on them and, where the administrator has allowed it, to make changes they confirm first. Google Analytics 4 and Search Console — sessions, conversions, queries and page performance, to report how advertising performs; read only. Google Tag Manager — the container's tags, triggers, variables and versions, so an administrator can add measurement tags and publish them; we act only on the container they selected, and only after they confirm each change. Merchant Center — product feeds and their approval status, so an administrator can add or correct products.
- OAuth tokens are encrypted, stored per connection, and used only to make the calls described above on that administrator's behalf. We do not sell Google user data, use it for advertising, or transfer it to third parties except as needed to provide these features or where required by law. Deleting a connection deletes its token.
- LearnOscale's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs to any other app will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
8. Security
We protect data with measures including encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS with automated certificate management), hashed passwords, per-Institute data isolation, role-based access control, two-factor authentication options, encrypted media delivery, audit logs of administrative actions, and bot protection on public forms. No system is perfectly secure, but security is engineered into the platform rather than added on top.
9. Your Rights
Subject to applicable law — including India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 — you may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data, withdraw consent previously given, and ask what data we hold about you.
- Learners on an Institute portal: please direct requests to your Institute, which controls your data; we support Institutes in fulfilling them.
- Direct users of learnoscale.com: contact us through the support@learnoscale.com.
10. Children
Learner portals may be used by students under 18 preparing for examinations. Where required, Institutes are responsible for obtaining verifiable parental or guardian consent for learners below the applicable age of consent. We do not knowingly collect data from children beyond what the learning service requires.
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy as the platform evolves. Material changes will be announced on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. Continued use of the platform after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
12. Contact
For privacy questions or requests, reach us through the support@learnoscale.com. If you are a learner on an Institute's portal, contact that Institute first — they control your data and can resolve most requests directly.
